The first Greek restaurant I ever tried was in Chapel Hill. A few of us would leave Lewis Dorm and hike to W. Franklin St., to the building that is now the Lantern. Back then, late 70s it was home to an art supply store and a nice Greek place.

Zorba’s was different and a favorite. It was located at Kroger Plaza aka Eastgate on South Elliott next to another hot spot for me, the Plaza movie theater. It was great food in a cozy inviting place.
